Band names of 2015

Is your resolution to learn to play guitar, form a band, rise to fame, do coke off a hooker’s ass, trash a hotel room, fall from fame, and make a comeback? If so, here are the band names I came up with in 2015. If you use one of these names, please remember me in your Grammy acceptance speech.

  • Midnight Hawk Snack
  • Tiger Blender
  • Most of a Pizza
  • Raw Floor Biscuit
  • Cock Orphan
  • Break the hymen
  • Bring a change of underwear
  • Two guys, a girl, and a pizza place

Going, going, gone

J.E. Mainer was born in 1898 and grew up in North Carolina.  He learned to play the banjo and fiddle and recorded hundreds of bluegrass and country songs.  In 1937 he recorded “Miss Me When I’m Gone”.

There are slightly fewer cups heard in that version than this one recorded by Anna Kendrick.

Also, I presume because everyone was smacking their cup like that they wanted a refill. She’s going to have to work hard for those tips.

Be Listening To You

The band from Boston, Do Not Forsake Me Oh My Darling, created a shot for shot remake of the Prisoner’s opening title sequence in their music video, “Arrival”.  They also have a six track CD, but the second track frequently changes.
